Crouch End, North London
A studio built for the long run.
Reformer Pilates, yoga, sauna and cold plunge under one roof — and the space to do all of it without rushing. No attitude, no overwhelm.

Our story
The studio we wanted to find.
The Reset Rooms started with a gap. Becky Chalmers had spent years working in and around studios and still couldn’t find the one she wanted in her own neighbourhood — proper equipment, proper teaching, at times that work around a family, in a room that doesn’t make you feel you should already be good at it.
She knows what makes a studio work, and what makes people quietly stop coming. It’s rarely the workout. It’s the small things: classes at times nobody can make, a space that feels like a test, the sense that you’re a transaction rather than a person.
So she built the alternative instead.
The person behind it
Becky Chalmers founded The Reset Rooms and runs it day to day. She danced professionally, managed restaurants in Edinburgh and Sydney, and spent seven years as company manager of a yoga and pilates studio.
The studio job taught her how this industry works from the inside. The restaurants taught her the rest, which is that people come back for how a place treats them.
She has two young children, which is why the timetable takes the school run seriously. She lives five minutes away. This is her neighbourhood studio as much as it is anyone’s.
A movement and recovery studio in Crouch End
We’re on The Broadway in Crouch End, with Highgate, Muswell Hill and Stroud Green all a short walk or a couple of stops away. Everything happens in one building: reformer pilates, mat, yoga, and a Recovery Room with sauna and cold plunge.
That’s deliberate. Strength and recovery were always meant to go together, and nobody has time to chase them across three postcodes. Here they’re ten steps apart, on one membership.
What's here
Everything in one place
Four things under one roof, all covered by the same membership.
Reformer Pilates
Ten Technogym reformer beds and classes capped at ten — small enough that your teacher can see every bed in the room.
Yoga
Strong and heated through to slow and still, taught by teachers worth seeking out — led by Norman Blair on yin.
The Recovery Room
Sauna and cold plunge, communal and unhurried. Use it after a class, or come in for it on its own.
Workshops & events
Sound journeys, yin intensives, guest teachers and one-off workshops alongside the weekly timetable.
How we run it
Classes stay small. We’d rather keep a room that works than fill it – ten on the reformers, one bed each, and enough space on the yoga floor to move without apologising to your neighbour.
The timetable is built around real days: early mornings, the hour after drop-off, and evenings late enough to get here after work. If a class time doesn’t suit the people it’s meant for, it’s the wrong class time.
And nobody here will make you feel like a beginner for being one. Everyone in the room was new once, usually more recently than they let on.
The people who teach here
Our teachers are properly trained and genuinely invested in the people in front of them. Small classes mean you're taught by name, not processed through a timetable.
Questions about the studio
Where exactly are you?
46 The Broadway, Crouch End, London N8 9SU — on the main parade, right at the clock tower. Buses run along the Broadway from Finsbury Park, Highgate and Muswell Hill.
Do I have to be a member?
No. Classes can be booked individually or in bundles, and sauna and cold plunge sessions can be booked on their own. Membership is there if you want to come regularly – it just works out cheaper.
I've never done any of this. Where do I start?
The intro offer. Two weeks of everything for £80 – reformer, mat, yoga and the Recovery Room – so you can find out what you actually like before committing to anything. Tell us it’s your first time when you book and we’ll look after you.
What do I need to bring?
Very little. Mats, blocks, straps and bolsters are here for yoga, towels are provided, and there are showers and changing rooms. Grip socks are required on the reformer – we sell them at reception if you need a pair.
Do you run anything for pregnancy and new parents?
Yes. Grounded Reformer is designed for expectant mothers, and Baby & Me Reset is a mat class for parents with pre-crawling babies. Both sit on the regular schedule.
