Four Thursdays in October
Each class stands on its own. Come once, or to all four.
The class
What you'll do
Matt breaks down the fundamentals of Pilates and looks at familiar movements through a modern biomechanical and neurological lens. You’ll explore the role of control, precision, concentration and awareness, and how these principles help you move with more confidence, mobility and control.
You’ll also look beyond the class, at how what you learn shows up in everyday movement and life.
Matt runs it as two short courses of two weeks each: 8 and 15 October, then 22 and 29 October. You don’t need to have come the week before, so drop in to any date.
Who it's for
Anyone new to Pilates or coming back after a break, and regulars who want to check the basics under the faster classes.
What to bring
Comfortable clothes. Grip socks or bare feet, whichever you prefer. Mats and props are in the room.

Everyone else
Choose what to pay when you book, anywhere from £8 to £20. A regular Mat Room class is £20, if that helps you decide.
You can book a place for a friend at the same time.
Why we price it like this
We want the special to be easy to say yes to. It's a chance to meet a teacher you haven't been taught by, try a class we don't usually run, or bring someone who hasn't been to the studio before, without the price being the thing that stops you.
The series
A new special every month

Questions
Before you book
I've never done Pilates. Is this for me?
Yes. Fundamentals starts from the beginning, and Matt will show you each movement before you try it.
Do I need to come to all four?
No. Each class stands on its own, so book one date or all of them.
Is there a minimum I have to pay?
Yes, £8. When you book you choose any amount from £8 to £20.
What if I can't make it?
Cancel through Momence so someone else can have your place. Our usual cancellation policy applies.
How are the specials chosen?
Our teachers suggest classes they’d love to run that don’t fit the weekly timetable. We pick one for each month.
