Meet your Lead Trainer

A word from Becky

Becky leads the training. Here she talks about why we've split it into two modules, and who each one is for.

How it works

One training, two modules

Everyone starts with Module 1. It runs one weekend a month from January to June 2027 and goes deep into the practice, with anatomy, breath, philosophy and the history of yoga alongside time on the mat. There’s no teaching in it and no exams.

At the end of Module 1 you can stop, with a certificate of completion for 100 hours. Or you carry on to Module 2 from August, which is about teaching and ends with a class you teach and are assessed on. Finish both and you hold a 200-hour qualification from a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School, which means you can register with Yoga Alliance as a teacher.

You don’t have to decide at the start. You can make up your mind during Module 1, and you have up to two years after it to take Module 2. If you know already, both modules together are £3,200, with £400 off Module 2.

Module 1 · January to June 2027

Deepen your practice

100 hours on your own practice. No teaching, no exams.

Stop here and you leave with a certificate of completion. It is not a teaching qualification.

Module 2 · August to November 2027

Learn to teach

100 hours on teaching hatha and vinyasa, ending in a class you teach and are assessed on.

Three ways in

Which is for you?

“I want to go deeper into my practice”

You've practised hatha or vinyasa for two years or more and want to understand what sits behind your classes: the body, the breath and the original texts. No teaching, and no pressure to go further.

Module 1 · £1,800

“I want to teach”

Module 1 is your first step and Module 2 builds on it. Finish both and you hold a 200-hour qualification, so you can register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200 and start teaching.

Both modules · £3,200 · £400 off Module 2

“I'm already a teacher”

You hold a 200-hour qualification. Join Module 2 to work on your teaching, or Module 1 to go deeper. Each module counts as 100 hours of continuing education.

Six weekends, 2027

01
Friday 29 to Sunday 31 January
02
Friday 26 to Saturday 27 February
03
Friday 26 to Saturday 27 March
04
Friday 30 April to Saturday 1 May
05
Friday 28 to Saturday 29 May
06
Friday 25 to Sunday 27 June

Fridays 5.30 to 9pm, Saturdays and Sundays 12 to 7pm. Everything is on evenings and weekends, so most people won’t need time off work.

Between weekends

Each month you come to five classes in the Mat Room, ideally with Jill, Olivia or Becky, and spend about two hours on reading or a recorded lecture. Your five classes a month from February to June are included in the price. Nothing follows the last weekend, so the module finishes on Sunday 27 June.

What you’ll study

Each day starts with practice. Across the six weekends we cover:

  • Anatomy and physiology: the lower and upper body, the physiology of breathing and the nervous system
  • Pranayama, chanting and mantra
  • The subtle body
  • Hatha yoga
  • The history of yoga
  • Philosophy, reading from the original texts: the Yoga Sutras, the yamas and niyamas, the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita

Who it’s for

Anyone with at least two years of consistent hatha or vinyasa practice. You don’t need any teaching experience, or any wish to teach.

What's included

  • All teaching across the six weekends, from Becky, Olivia, Jill and guest teachers
  • The course manual
  • Five Mat Room classes a month, February to June (25 classes, worth £475 at our 5-pack price)
  • A certificate of completion for 100 hours

Module 2 · 100 hours

Learn to teach

Module 2 trains you to teach hatha and vinyasa, including how teaching a heated class differs from an unheated one. There’s also a lecture on teaching pregnant and postnatal students, as an introduction rather than a specialist qualification.

Assessment: an online quiz on anatomy and physiology, tests on history and philosophy, and a class you teach, assessed by the course leaders. Pass and you hold a 200-hour qualification.

From past trainees

From people who have trained with Becky, Olivia and Jill

“I was worried I would have to learn by heart thousands of Latin names. Instead I was left with a clear understanding of how and why the different body parts are shaped the way they are, and how they might differ from one person to the next. It really informed the way I look at and adjust poses on different students now.”

Marie, 2019 graduate, yoga teacher

“Olivia provided high-level tuition throughout the course, and created a supportive environment where students felt comfortable to ask questions without fear of judgement. Her guidance and feedback truly accelerated my learning.”

Daniela, 2021 graduate, yoga teacher

“I've done anatomy before but I've never known someone who's able to make it so easy to understand, take in and then put into practice as you did.”

Bianca, 2020 graduate, yoga teacher

“Comprehensive, well-rounded teacher training delivered in a supportive and caring environment. The fantastic range of teachers brought their own experience and expertise, and I finished my 200 hours with the confidence to teach. I would highly recommend this course.”

Small group
Up to 18 trainees, so everyone gets proper attention. We'll confirm the course is running by Monday 30 November. If it doesn't go ahead, you get everything back.
Changing your mind
You can cancel for a full refund within 14 days of booking. After that, places can't be refunded or transferred, because the group is small and planned around the people in it. If you become pregnant you're welcome to carry on. If you're injured, we'll talk it through with you.
Missing a weekend
You can book a catch-up session with whoever taught it, at £70 an hour. One hour covers a Friday evening or half a Saturday or Sunday. If you're going on to Module 2, catching up is required. If you'd miss more than one weekend, we'd suggest joining next year's intake instead.

Questions

Can’t see yours? Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within 24 hours.

Ask us a question
Do I have to want to teach?

No. Module 1 is about your own practice, and you can take it with no plan to teach.

How experienced do I need to be?

At least two years of consistent hatha or vinyasa practice.

Is it accredited by Yoga Alliance?

The Reset Rooms is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200). Complete both modules and you hold our 200-hour qualification, which means you can register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200. Module 1 on its own gives you a certificate of completion, which isn’t a teaching qualification.

How do the payments work?

You pay £300 to book your place, then three payments of £500 on 15 November, 15 December and 15 January. Everything is paid by 15 January 2027, two weeks before the course starts. Both modules together are £3,200, with £400 off when you pay for Module 2.

When will I know the course is definitely running?

We’ll confirm by Monday 30 November. The course runs with a minimum of 6 trainees, and if it doesn’t go ahead you get everything back. You can also cancel for a full refund within 14 days of booking.

I'm already a qualified teacher. Is this for me?

Yes. You can join Module 2 directly if you hold a 200-hour qualification: come to a class with one of us, talk to us afterwards, and bring your certificate. You can also take Module 1, and each module counts as 100 hours of continuing education.

How long do I have to finish Module 2?

Two years from the end of Module 1.
